If Trump wins we can kiss life on earth goodbye. Trump and Vance will allow oil drilling in all the wrong places. 2024 was the hottest year ever recorded, unless we radically change course it will get to the point we cannot survive. This could go on for 10 or 30 years since Trump has said "vote for me and you never have to vote again". He made it very clear that he is a dictator and Vance will take over if he dies. We can fix everything else but once we are past the tipping point there is no way back.
or... we may not know tomorrow, or anytime soon. Trump will declare victory, regardless of the votes cast or counted. Both sides will lawyer up. The quirks of the Electoral College may give the office to the candidate with fewer votes (again.) Judges, some more loyal to Trump than the Constitution (I'm looking at you, Judge Cannon), may ignore the facts and the law in an attempt to coronate their Dear Leader. Members of the House and the Senate may be enticed to object to electors in order to throw the election to the House, with the same effect. All of the in-built flaws of our system may yet prove its undoing.
We can hope that the center holds. That citizens of good will can and will prevent the gamesmanship. But, as the General famously said, "Hope is not a method."
I'm holding my breath, planning for the worst, ever hopeful that my fears prove unfounded.
As I wrote previously, the election will not end tomorrow. Trump will declare victory. There will be efforts to install Trump in office by his enablers. But we will soon know where the country is, and that should become clear to us fairly quickly.
Well clearly my predictive powers are terrible. Political chat used to be fun. Withdrawing and deleting for awhile.

I'm seeing the same signs, Sharon, and I also haven't seen any signs that contradict them.
