One of the most common questions I am receiving over email lately is some variation of “I sign petitions, contact my elected officials, make small donations, write postcards and attend marches, but it never seems like enough.
Already doing 6 out of seven, and the most visible result is 100+ emails a day asking for additional contributions. Even from organizations I just gave to. Their effectiveness is reduced because they've become so off-putting.
Totally. I'm just deleting, unsubbing and stopping their messages, and I have stopped donating. It's ridiculous and it's a waste of my time and energy. Has started to make me angry, as all I see the Dems do is bicker and dodge and weave. Where is the leadership we need?
I've been doing all of these too, but this was kind of a disheartening post, Chris. Mostly it seemed like you'd say, "do this..., but it really won't do anything." And put buttons for me to click on. I'm disappointed in this. Okay. It's reality. But maybe the reality now is that doing any of these things is almost meaningless and I just have to figure out how to live with a dictator and his crazy administration instead of doing meaningless things.
