This past week, political journalists engaged in their ritual look at the first 100 days of Donald Trump’s second term and the assessments were not pretty. Whether it’s public rejection of his job performance or his agenda, the country is returning a strong negative verdict on what they’re seeing. Nonetheless, these past few months have been highly consequential, as Trump’s attempt to grab power and the resistance to his actions have been growing in intensity. Protests are increasing, special election defeats are piling up, and the courts continue to hold the line against Trump’s actions. Still, Republicans in Congress largely continue to support MAGA as they hide from their constituents. Matt and Chris discuss where we are at the 100-day mark and offer their views on what to look for to gauge the success of the resistance in the month ahead.
