With about a month remaining before Donald Trump takes office, Chris Bowers and I turn our attention to the preparations taking place to obstruct the authoritarian onslaught we expect to see in the first months of the new administration. Donald Trump hasn’t exactly kept his plans secret, so there is no excuse for being unprepared. And while there will be fewer guardrails surrounding Trump than there were last time, there are things that can be done today to frustrate Trump and weaken his hand. We’ll look at actions that have been or could be taken by President Biden, Congress, and state-level Democrats who will form the backbone of the opposition to the new administration.
