Episode 4: House on Fire

Ryan Shay is a keen observer of Congress whose background working on the Hill informs his insights. He is Director of Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs at the firm Faegre Drinker in Washington. Ryan has held senior policy staff positions in the House and Senate, including Legislative Director for Rep. Susie Lee of Nevada, Senior Legislative Assistant to Rep. Andre Carson of Indiana, and Legislative Aide to Senator Maria Cantwell of Washington state. I call Ryan the “House Whisperer” because of his talent at identifying and interpreting signals coming from Congress and separating them from the noise.
